Description: |
Still shown on the 1975 Town tax map as a cemetery. Old cemetery for the Quakers. The last marked burial was in 1862. Many Quakers used unmarked field stones as markers. One grave stone marked “H.D.” was identified by County Historian Richard Muscarella as Hannah Durga - d. 29 Jul. 1842. Three Haviland stones were moved to Connecticut, according to Mrs. Daniel Gerow. |
