Mission of The Putnam County Historic Cemetery Committee
Our Committee is a gathering of historians, genealogists, local history buffs, and those interested in the valuable public service of preserving and beautifying our historic towns. We provide oversight on town maintenance of the abandoned cemeteries. We have identified close to one hundred burial sites in the county, including some not documented in the usual reference boos. This website is just part of our effort to preserve and disseminate that data for descendents and historians.
Our Meetings
We meet on the second Friday of every other month at 10AM, and rotate our meeting place to each town in the county.
